Our History

The Rotaract Club of Georgia Highlands was first conceived in February of 2024 by Madeline Choate, and Rotarian sponsor Dr. Lance Barry, with a dream of bringing new networking and career growth opportunities to the ambitious students of our growing non-profit college.

Inaugural Vice President Ellie Mullinax was the first to reply when Madeline sought out students who may be interested on LinkedIn. Under their guidance, interest in a Georgia Highlands Rotaract spread like wildfire. Soon, a sizable 20 founding members were discovered.

Of those 20 seven rose up to become our very first Executive Board and GHC Rotaract was formally established within Rotary International.
